After the rain

About:

In the SIDM block, there is a student lounge at the back of level 3, we were tasked with designing an interactive wall for one of the surfaces.
This is a group project.

One of the main requirements of this project is that we must allow the users that are interacting with our wall to be able to feel the IxD experience through it.

Design Rationale:

The work is inspired by themes of supernatural and contains allegory of climate change where hard rain can cause mysterious phenomenon. This phenomenon relates to the water fishes caused by heavy rainfall from cumulonimbus clouds. When one triggers the water fishes from hiding in any part of the elements, they glide through the rainy atmosphere and dissolve into the bowl where as it accumulate, a water dragon will form and swim around the projected area before flying into the sky, indicating that the user has reached the end of the journey. The entire experience represents students trying to find inspiration within these hard times of disruption and burnout.

The final look of the wall modelled in blender by me.
